Another 4am up with the baby. He’s back to sleep now, however usually when it’s relatively ‘morning’ once I am up, I’m up. I decided to read for a little bit and then made some coffee. Peggys Sue (our beagle) wanted to go outside and as I went to the back door I noticed that the crescent moon was staring straight at me through the window, inviting me to watch her show. So I dragged a warm blanket out, shoved on my comfy ugg boots and pulled on my big knit sweater and sat on my porch steps in the dark for several chilly minutes.

And it was lovely.

I loved the cold, crisp air, the way hot coffee warmed my insides and the way our beautiful moon slid it’s way to the right of my vision. I stayed outside for about 20 minutes, until my mug was empty, my fingers were uncomfortably stiff and Peggy Sue wanted back inside. I SO enjoy my solitude in the fresh air.
